This Valentine’s Day I urge every boyfriend, husband, wife, partner and girlfriend to get in the kitchen and cook for your loved one! Better yet, why not cook together and make it fun? Play some music and have a drink. Dinner doesn’t have to be a romantic dinner or a gourmet meal, just fresh ingredients prepared and plated with love. Of course adding a few special touches wouldn’t hurt a bouquet of flowers and some hand dipped chocolate strawberries are always appreciated.

I agree with Chef Ryan, it’s not about flowers, rings and expensive restaurants; it’s about spending time together! Nice one Ryan. I figure that Chef Ryan, who has a background in pastry, would do an elegant Valentines Dessert. I, myself, am giving those who struggle with or just do not have time for an elaborate dessert a much simpler option that is still elegant. You just need to be organized as it needs to chill for a few hours.

With February 14th falling on a Saturday, could there be a better way to show your loved one you care than serving them breakfast in bed!? Sure you could buy them chocolates, flowers, trinkets or a card. However, planning, shopping for and preparing a fresh breakfast, and then serving it bedside to you well deserving, hard working loved one, shows more care and affection than a store bought anything in my books! Hint, hint…
