It has been grey and rainy here in Stellarton, NS for the past several days, a far cry from what The Weather Network was predicting earlier in the week. It has me feeling "blah"; I wish summer would arrive and hang around for a while.

Life has been very exciting and busy the past 3 weeks! Jana and I sold the farmhouse, spruced up our cottage at the beach and moved into town. Packing your life into boxes was more work than I had anticipated and makes living chaotic, so we all moved into our cottage for a week to make life a little easier. Spending a week in our humble cottage with no phone, cable or internet was quite refreshing and a nice break from the rest of the world. Now that we are moved into our new home and trying to get our lives up and running again, not having cable, phone or internet is more of an inconvenience. I didn't realize how much I actually use and need the connection to the outside world for everyday life and work.

Recently a colleague of mine returned from a trip to Scotland with a refreshing drink recipe that she had seen over there. We at the Compliments Culinary Centre were excited to try something new and were pleased with the results.
