It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s strawberry time in Ontario! I have already tasted some of the local berries, a small red globe of sweetness and delight. They are actually a part of the Rose family with their peak picking season in June and July. Originally called a Strewberry, the name was changed to reflect how farmers brought them to market, on a bed of straw. Strawberries have been around since Roman times and have a highly Medicinal history to them.
