I stopped by the new house again yesterday (27 more days) to take some measurements for a new washer and dryer. It was a beautiful sunny warm day so of course I took a walk around the pool and it is looking good - I am so excited about my first swim!

When I was growing up we had pool. My father love to swim and so did we! So when my wife and I bought a house with enough yard space, we put in an above ground pool, as our girls loved swimming and playing when they were younger. Last summer, we took down our pool and gave it to our neighbors; their girls are little and hopefully will have as much fun in the pool as our girls did!! I don’t remember a pool party as much as a bunch of kids splashing and screaming!

Call me crazy, but at the end of June I am packing up the family homestead and moving into town. I have mixed emotions about leaving our old farmhouse at the beach. It is a lovely spot to live and the farmhouse holds many of our family memories! However, Jana and I both knew this day would come, as we have simply outgrown the little farmhouse in the country and need more space. The light at then of the “packing up and moving process” tunnel is that our new home is beautiful and spacious, with an amazing outdoor space, including a pool!
